Attaye et al.

DIME-2, the largest study to date, reported reductions in HbA1c and glycaemic variability, together with lower diastolic blood pressure, in adults at risk of type 2 diabetes.

Rampanelli et al.

In a human cohort, higher levels of I. butyriciproducens were associated with lower BMI, triglycerides, HbA1c and fasting insulin; in a diet-induced obesity mouse model, supplementation counteracted body weight gain and hyperglycaemia.

de Vos et al.

Mitsuokella jalaludinii was identified as an efficient degrader of dietary phytate, working together with Anaerostipes rhamnosivorans to produce the short-chain fatty acid propionate; both strains form part of the Caelus portfolio.

EDMD2 evaluated A. soehngenii alongside existing metformin treatment in adults with type 2 diabetes.

Seegers et al.

Genotoxicity assays and a 90-day study in rats found no adverse effects attributable to the strain, including at doses exceeding the expected daily human intake more than one hundredfold. The study forms part of the safety package for A. soehngenii.

EDIE investigated glycaemic control and endogenous GLP-1 secretion after duodenal administration in participants with metabolic syndrome.
